We kicked off activities marking our 20th anniversary by celebrating our Founders, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Yeboah with a special Founders Day programme at our Pakyi No. 1 campus.

Nearly 500 guests including parents, students and teachers from other schools within Kumasi and representatives of corporate institutions joined the school to honour and celebrate the founders for their vision, dedication and contribution towards quality and inclusive education in Ghana.

Preceding the ceremony was a photo exhibition that chronicled the genesis of the school.

In a documentary screened during the ceremony, Dr. and Mrs. Yeboah narrated how the vision of the school was formed, starting with seven pupils of various ages, including their daughter in a bid to provide quality and holistic education for children.

In a Keynote address, Dr. Wilhemina J. Donkor of the History Department of KNUST highlighted the significance of Founder’s Day and commended management of the school for honouring the legacy of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Yeboah.

On behalf of the ICS Community, PTA Chairman, Lawyer Kofi Addo presented plaques to Dr. and Mrs. Yeboah for the vision, leadership and passion for educating children to be tomorrow’s leaders.

Assisted by the chief of Pakyi No. 1, Nana Poku-Wusu Ababio Dr. and Mrs. Yeboah planted a ceremonial sapling on the school campus.

About a 100 more saplings have been planted by students and staff in honour of Dr. and Mrs. Yeboah.
