ICS Ghana Kicks Off a 3-Day Bootcamp for Staff
The Centre for Professional Development (CPD) of ICS Ghana, today, kicked off a three-day Bootcamp for Educators at the Pakyi Campus of ICS. In attendance were staff members of all the four campuses of International Community School.
ICS Educator Bootcamp is designed to help participants learn new teaching methods which will be effective in the modern classroom. At every Bootcamp, participants engage in discussions, simulations and practice sessions and techniques that can make a direct impact in the classroom. Activities started as early as 5:30 am and ended at 8:00 pm interspersed these times were various fun and educative activities which will develop professional thinking and practice to support whole child development.
The theme for this year’s ICS Bootcamp is “Our Story, Our Aspirations: creating the future we seek”.
In his opening remarks, Dr Charles Yeboah, the Director of International Community School, charged staff to be forward-thinking and never relent for anything less in their pursuit to create the future ICS seek. He further stressed that, in creating a future for an institution such as ICS, there must be great enthusiasm and eagerness that is almost contagious. “To become a great School, we must first seek to become one”; he said.
The Management of ICS also used this opportunity to outdoor the new Principal of Accra Campus, Mr Israel Titi-Ofei.
