Introducing Mrs. Ruth Asare – New Head of Preschool

We are pleased to introduce Mrs Ruth Asare as the new Head of Preschool at our Accra Campus. Mrs Asare brings over 10 years of progressive teaching and leadership experience within the International Community School (ICS) school community, with a strong foundation in early childhood education and extensive experience across the Early Years and Primary phases. She has developed strong expertise in designing child-centred, play-based learning experiences that support children’s development, school readiness, and smooth transitions into primary education.

Throughout her journey at ICS, Mrs Asare has served in key leadership roles, including Deputy Head of School, Key Stage Coordinator, Head of Global Perspectives, and Head of Academic and Character Development. In these roles, she has contributed to curriculum development, teaching excellence, teacher mentorship, student well-being, and holistic learner development. Her commitment to excellence has been recognised through several awards, including Best Teacher of the Year (two consecutive years), Overall Teacher of Excellence, Most Resilient Teacher, and the Shaping Excellence Award. She has also contributed to exceptional academic outcomes, including a 100% Gold achievement rate in May 2025.

With a deep understanding of early childhood development, a passion for nurturing young learners, and continued professional growth through the Cambridge Professional Development Qualification (PDQ) in Educational Leadership, Mrs Asare is committed to providing a caring, engaging, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
